It's my brother's fault that I became a marriage celebrant.

Over 14 years ago, my brother married his soulmate in a relaxed, garden wedding ceremony in Bridgewater. His only deal-breaker (apart from his diva-like demands for certain foods and drinks) was that he didn’t want to stand up in front of his family and closest friends beside someone who didn't know him.

The thought of having a celebrant preach about him and his relationship with my (now) sister-in-law, making assumptions about their values and interests, made him feel like he wasn't being true to himself.

He asked (told) me to conduct their wedding ceremony and on that gorgeous spring day in the Adelaide Hills, I discovered what I'm great at.

And, although I'm not family to every couple, your ceremony can absolutely feel like it; warm, relaxed, fun and familiar (but not too familiar, like we've been friends for life - that's just creepy).

My name is Camille, my pronouns are she/her and I’m proud to be a same-sex, LGBTQ+, gay-friendly and inclusive Adelaide-based marriage celebrant!

Get in touch and let's get started - tell me what you're passionate about.
